How To Apply
National Committee Applications
Students who wish to apply for United World Colleges but need financial aid can do so through the national committee. Candidates will have the option of applying online or download and complete an application form below.

Entrance Test
Students will also be required to sit for an entrance test.
There are 4 parts to the IB admissions assessment during the entrance test:
- A 30 minute mental alertness multiple choice paper
- Three subject exams of 30 minutes each in the 3 subjects that the applicant hopes to pursue at Higher Level.
Please note:
- Applications for 2025/2026 will open on 1 December 2024 and close on 22 February 2025
- The application fee is E500
- Students who genuinely cannot afford the application fee may request a fee waiver by writing a fee waiver request to apply@sz.uwc.org. This must be done by 17 February 2025
- All candidates must sit an entrance test, which will be held on Saturday 22 February 2025 at 8am at Waterford Kamhlaba campus in Mbabane. Applicants should come on the day with something to write with, completed application form (if not applying online), latest report and test fee of E500. Please make a booking by emailing apply@sz.uwc.org.

If applying using the application form below, please scan and email your application form with all required documents and proof of application fee payment and send it to: apply@sz.uwc.org. Alternatively, please hand it in a sealed and clearly marked envelope at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA in Mbabane, attention “Fanele Chester - Eswatini NC”.

Global Selection Program Applications
Students who wish to apply for UWC but who do not need financial aid (i.e. who will be full fee paying students) may do so through the UWC Global Selection Programme, which is available for students who:
- do not need financial to attend UWC
- wish to have entry results 9-12 months before the beginning of the school year
- are looking to attend a specific UWC school or college

Whichever route a candidate chooses, the application will be assessed against UWC's core selection criteria. Please note that a candidate may only submit one application per year to study the IB Diploma Programme at UWC. You may not apply through two different UWC national committees or through a UWC national committee and the UWC Global Selection Programme concurrently.
